As he made new discoveries and advances, Mr. Hubbard would release issues of varying length on different aspects of religious practice. The purpose of these was to keep Scientologists apprised of breakthroughs and ensure that auditors could make use of the latest information and counseling techniques as soon as they became known. Ecclesiastical policy concerning the management of church organizations was similarly issued. These are compiled into reference volumes and also into special course materials for the training of auditors and church staff members, and all are publicly available.
There are many other books and pamphlets by Mr. Hubbard which are similarly central to the religion. All are publicly available through any church or mission of Scientology. Many are also available in public libraries and bookstores.
